    state of India. The temple is situated atop the Neel Parvat on the Eastern summit of the Sivalik Hills, the southernmost mountain chain of the Himalayas.

Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is one of the most revered temples in Rishikesh. It is said that Lord Shiva consumed the poison that came out of the churning of the ocean at this place. At the same time, his wife, Parvati, strangled him so that the poison did not reach his stomach. In this way, the poison remained in his throat. After drinking the poison, his throat turned blue due to the effect of the poison. He was known as Neelkanth due to his blue throat. This extremely impressive temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. There is a water spring in the temple premises where devotees take a bath before visiting the temple.
  • Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula : It’s an iconic landmark and a significant tourist attraction in the region. The bridge is named after Lord Rama, a prominent figure in Hindu mythology, as it is believed that Lord Rama’s brother Lakshmana crossed the river at this location during their exile period.
